UA students have until April 28 to complete Student Opinions of Instruction course evaluation surveys. Surveys for the School of Social Work may be submitted through May 5. SOI surveys allow students to confidentially rate their UA learning experience and encourage feedback about their courses and instructors. Students are now be able to select either the standard or the new mobile view of SOI. The mobile feature makes the surveys easy to navigate using smartphones or other mobile devices. The mobile feature should function well with newer Android, iOS and Windows Mobile devices. Confidential reports of survey results are provided to UA faculty and administrators after grades are submitted. Student ratings are important in helping instructors improve their teaching and in helping the University evaluate courses and faculty. For more information, visit the SOI website or send an email to soi@ua.edu.
The Student Government Association and the Campus Veterans Association ask UA students to donate their used textbooks as part of the “Textbooks for Troops” program. The program helps ease the burden put on student veterans, dependents and survivors every semester in getting their textbooks. Students can bring their used books to the SGA office (second floor, Ferguson Center) or the Office for Veteran and Military Affairs (1 B.B. Comer Hall) through May 1. More information: lkfoley@crimson.ua.edu.
The University Supply Store is paying cash for used textbooks. Click here for locations and hours.
