TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Students from The University of Alabama were named winners in the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2013 regional Mark of Excellence contest.
The Mark of Excellence Awards honor the best in student journalism, with categories for print, radio, television and online collegiate journalism. Entries are judged on the regional level, and first-place regional winners advance to the national competition and are recognized at SPJ spring conferences.
