TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama President Judy Bonner has named Dr. B. Joyce Stallworth to the new position of associate provost for special projects.

“Dr. Stallworth’s expertise in K-12 education and her experience as a UA professor and administrator make her uniquely qualified for this position,” Bonner said. “We are excited about the opportunity for The University of Alabama to make a difference in the Black Belt schools under her leadership.”

Stallworth notes, “I am pleased to take on this new and exciting role at The Capstone.  As an alumnae of this University, it gives me honor to serve UA in this capacity; and as a native of Alabama’s Black Belt, I am especially pleased to be working, in part, on initiatives to help underserved students and communities.”
