TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Miss University of Alabama Program committee will host a contestant information meeting on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 4:30 p.m. at Alumni Hall.
Prospective contestants will receive application information for the 2013 pageant scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Bama Theatre. Application deadline is Saturday, Dec. 15. The competition is limited to the first 25 contestants meeting the application deadline with completed paperwork.
The program is sponsored by the UA National Alumni Association and is a preliminary competition for Miss Alabama and Miss America. The competition is open to full-time UA students age 17-24.
The 2013 Miss University of Alabama will receive a one-year, full-tuition scholarship, two book scholarships and other gifts for her year of service to the University.
