TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama will host a General Interest and Business Career Fair Sept. 22 at the Bryant Conference Center.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The career fair is open to all students. Full and part-time positions will be featured at the event. Students interested in gaining hands-on experience before graduation will also hear about potential internships.
Recruiters from around the country will be represented, including BMW, Hewlett Packard, Wells Fargo Financial and Regions Bank, Macy’s Distribution, Kellogg, Kohl’s, Unum and Navistar.
“Having a career in mind is important,” said Linda Johnson, director of employment development and relations at the Culverhouse College of Commerce, “especially when jobs are so scarce in today’s economy. There is ample opportunity to gain contacts and make it that much easier in landing a job that caters to one’s needs.”
Interested students will be asked to register at the event and should bring their student ID for registration and resumes for potential employers.
