UA’s ‘My Football Ticket’ Program Named Technology Award Winner

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Action Card Office has received the National Association of College Auxiliary Services Technology Award for the “My Football Ticket” program.

The award was given to UA for meeting the technology needs of students through the implementation of the ticket program.

“This award is a fitting tribute to the achievements in the area of technology offered by NACAS member institutions on a daily basis,” said Dr. Bob Hassmiller, CEO of NACAS.

The Technology Award, presented at the association’s annual conference in November, recognizes a member institution for using technology creatively in improving service to customers.

The “My Football Ticket” program provides students online, self-service, paperless game day access into football games. The program is a collaborative initiative of UA Auxiliary Services and several other departments on campus.

Established in 1969, NACAS is a nonprofit higher education association serving auxiliary services and student support services professionals at over 900 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Ireland.
