UA’s Bama Grad Expo Brings Top Prospective Students to Campus

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s Bama Grad Expo will bring 50 top prospective graduate students from across the country to campus Nov. 5-7.

The annual event, hosted by the UA College of Arts and Sciences and the UA Graduate School, gives students the chance to learn about degrees offered and visit with current graduate students and faculty in their department of interest. The students also have the opportunity to discuss research, creative and scholarly opportunities, as well as tour the campus.

Dr. Robert H. Findlay, Bishop Professor of Biology and chair of the faculty committee organizing the event, said more than 100 applications were received from throughout the country.

Admission to the Bama Grad Expo is open to all undergraduate juniors and seniors seeking a rewarding graduate experience with strong faculty mentoring in research, scholarship and creative activities. Students from under-represented populations, McNair Scholars and first generation college students were especially encouraged to participate.
