On Oct. 20, the Academic Honor Council will pass out promotional items to students on the Quad from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Any students “caught with integrity” or seen using the promotional items between 2-4 p.m. will receive a prize.
In an effort to educate students about the importance of academic integrity, each college’s Academic Honor Council will present projects to the students within their college on Oct. 21. These projects will help students to learn how to avoid the dangers of plagiarism and cheating.
The winner of the Academic Integrity Computer Desktop Wallpaper Design competition will also be announced in The Crimson White student newspaper. The winning wallpaper design will be placed on computers in select computer labs, and the winning designer will receive a prize.
The Academic Honor Council is a student organization that works with faculty members and students to increase the awareness of academic integrity. The council encourages the UA community to follow the values set out in the Capstone Creed.
