Homecoming Parade Time Announced at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Homecoming Parade will take place at noon on Saturday, Oct. 16, prior to the UA football game against the University of Mississippi at Bryant-Denny Stadium at 8 p.m.

The parade route will begin at the intersection of 22nd Ave. and University Boulevard and will end at Fifth Avenue. The Homecoming Grand Marshal will be UA football standout Tyrone Prothro. For more information about the parade, contact Chad Clark at cclark@sa.ua.edu.

In other announced events, a Homecoming Comedy Show will be held Monday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., featuring a performance by Eddie Ifft. Hosted by the Ferguson Center and the SGA, the show will be held in the Ferguson Center Theater and it is free and open to all UA students.

Ifft is a nationally known comedian who has headlined across the U.S. as well as in 15 countries. He has appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” BET’s “Comic View” and E!’s “Chelsea Lately.” Ifft has also hosted the Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” and spent an entire season as the ABC College Football Guy.
