Whether you currently have tickets or need tickets to the Sept. 4 football home opener against San José State University, you will want to know how to “Get in the Game” and how the changes to the way student tickets are handled, entering the stadium (Gate 31), and parking near the stadium affect you. The student section will open two and half hours before the game. For more information on the changes, you can visit these helpful sites: Action Card Office, http://uagameday.com and rolltide.com.

A new experience is available to students attending Alabama home football games. The High Tide Club will provide an exciting and engaging game-day experience. The bottom of the upper deck of the new south end-zone expansion will feature reserved seats for High Tide Club members. Benefits include free T-shirts and concession giveaways throughout the season, as well as an opportunity to receive book scholarships. Easier entrance into the stadium will be available at Gate 30. Fans attending Quad events prior to each home football game are encouraged to drop off game-day recyclables at a tent east of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. Plastic, aluminum and cardboard will be accepted at the tent. Recycling tent operation for the game against San José State University will be noon-5:30 p.m. on Sept. 4. UA employees will hand out recycling bags to individual groups tailgating on the Quad so that cardboard, aluminum cans, plastic cups, food wrappers and other types of plastics, including ice bags, can be recycled.

UA students finding themselves available to take extra classes this semester now have a shorter, 10-week semester to do so. Registration for Fall 2 is underway via myBama.
