TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Center for Economic Development is co-sponsoring a Your Town Alabama Inc. leadership workshop and networking opportunity June 2-4 at Camp McDowell, located near Nauvoo.
The 12th annual workshop aims to introduce small town and rural technical assistance providers and decision makers to the role of design in community planning.
Some 65 Alabama citizens will be accepted to participate in the workshop and to make contact with experts in planning, design, economic development and resource preservation fields throughout the state.
The registration deadline is May 3. The fee for the workshop is $195 for double occupancy and $230 for single occupancy, which covers lodging for two nights, meals and all workshop materials. Single rooms are limited, so early registration is required.
