TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Students in a University of Alabama advanced television production course will host their television pilot premiere, titled “Cast & Crew,” at the Bama Theater Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Students in TCF 451, taught by Adam Schwartz, an assistant professor in telecommunication and film who served as executive producer of the pilot, worked together over the course of the semester from story pitch to final production to create the first episode of a potential television series. The production crew consists of seven students:

▪ Caitlin Clark from Oak Grove – production designer
▪ Joshua Hamilton from Jasper – screenwriter and associate producer
▪ Nicolas Mahone from Tuskegee – sound designer
▪ Tatum Northington from Prattville – producer
▪ Zac Oyama from Mountain Brook– director
▪ Jason Spencer from Tuscaloosa – director of photography
▪ Angelique Stepp from Enterprise – editor

“This is a great opportunity to come out and support the future TV and filmmakers from right here in Alabama,” Schwartz said. “The seven seniors in the course have worked very hard on the TV pilot this semester, and we’re proud to be presenting it to the public at the fantastic Bama Theater in wonderful downtown Tuscaloosa.”

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free, however, donations to support the Bama Theater will be accepted at the door.
