UA lands on top 50 colleges list

In the 2010 edition of U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges 2010,” the University was, once again, ranked in the top 50 public universities in the nation…This year, the University ranked 43rd among public universities and 96th among both public and private universities…Judy Bonner, executive vice president and provost at the University, remains mindful of the fact that the University is growing at an exponential rate due to its academic prowess. “Our record applications and growing enrollment are clear indicators that students and their families recognize the quality and value of a University of Alabama education,” Bonner said in a written statement. “We are pleased with this external recognition, but we are even more excited about welcoming another excellent freshman class to campus and continuing to provide the best education possible to all our students.”
