Jay McGirt is sewing thousands of feathers onto a piece of burlap. It’s part of an exhibit depicting a Native American wedding scene to be displayed at The University of Alabama’s Moundville Archaeological Park museum.

U.S. News Ranks UA Among Top 50 Public Universities

The University of Alabama is again ranked among the top 50 public universities in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual rankings for 2010. UA is ranked 43rd among public national universities and 96th among all universities, both public and private.

Information Concerning Flu on the UA Campus

As of Aug. 18, The University of Alabama has confirmed 21 students who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms. The CDC and the Alabama Department of Public Health continue to recommend that H1N1 be treated just like seasonal flu.
