TUSCALOOSA, Al. — The May 2009 Alabama housing report is now posted and available at The University of Alabama’s Center for Real Estate Web site. The address for the site is http://acre.cba.ua.edu/housing_report.php.
In addition, a statistical look at new housing construction can be found at http://acre.cba.ua.edu/new_construction_reports.php.
Thirdly, the 1st Quarter 2009 Housing Affordability Index is available at http://acre.cba.ua.edu/affordability_index.php.
UA’s Alabama Center for Real Estate, known as ACRE, teams with the Home Builders Association of Alabama to collect, analyze, store and disseminate the monthly report on the state’s home building industry.
Since 1999, ACRE has partnered with the Alabama Association of REALTORS and continues to produce monthly reports that provide useful information associated with existing home sales and housing affordability, said Grayson Glaze, executive director of ACRE.
The reports are released to coincide as closely as possible with the release of national real estate data, Glaze said.
