UA Helps Sponsor Community Festival March 28 at Holt High School

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Holt Community Partnership, a collaboration between The University of Alabama and Holt High School, is sponsoring a community festival at Holt High School Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The festival will include activities, games, food, health screenings, fire safety demonstrations and special vehicles from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department. Door prizes will also be available. The Holt High School band and cheerleaders will perform throughout the event.

The Holt Community Partnership is a group of area citizens and organizations developed to improve and revive the Holt community by working together to provide education, social and health services. Partners include the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education, ACER, the UA College of Education, the Capstone College of Nursing, the UA School of Social Work, Tuscaloosa’s One Place, Nucor Steel, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department, Holt High School faculty members, and members of the Holt Community.

The festival is free to the general public, and all ages are welcome.
