TUSCALOOSA Ala. – The University of Alabama Black Faculty and Staff Association is sponsoring a Community Conversation with Dr. Pamela Payne Foster who will discuss “Ten Things African-Americans Should Know About HIV/AIDS” on Friday, Jan. 16 in 110 AIME building on campus from 5:30-7 p.m.
Foster, an assistant professor in UA’s College of Community Health Sciences, is a preventive medicine and public health physician who has been involved in HIV/AIDS activism in minority communities for nearly 20 years. She will lead a discussion on current HIV/AIDS issues in the African-American community, particularly in Alabama.
The public is invited to attend the free event. Light refreshments will be served.
