As part of International Education Week events at The University of Alabama, Dr. Joe Vinson of the University of Scranton will discuss “Chocolate Chemistry: The Science Behind the World’s Guilty Pleasure” on Wednesday, Nov.19 at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby of Rodgers Library and the “Science of Coffee” on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. in 205 Gorgas Library.

UA Study Shows Day Before Thanksgiving 2007 Was One of State’s Worst Crash Days of the Year

A recent University of Alabama study shows the fifth worst day for crashes within the state in 2007 was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. These results are in sharp contrast to UA’s CARE Research & Development Laboratory’s previous annual studies of holiday crashes with special emphasis on Thanksgiving.
