UA Students’ Films Honored at Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival

The Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility and the department of telecommunication and film at The University of Alabama are proud to announce that two films from the most recent class of Documenting Justice have received awards at the annual Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham.

UA Phi Kappa Phi Chapter Welcomes New Members

The University of Alabama chapter of Phi Kappa Phi honor society welcomed new inductees earlier this month. Phi Kappa Phi membership is by invitation only to the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students and 7.5 percent of juniors. Faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also qualify.

UA Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility to Host Moral Forum Competition, Award $13,000 in Scholarships

The University of Alabama Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility will host the semifinal and final rounds of the fourth annual Moral Forum Tournament. The semifinals will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in the Ferguson Center Forum (room 360) and the final round will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27 in Morgan Auditorium. Scholarships totaling $13,000 will be awarded the final night.
