UA’s University Supply Store to Hold Fall Graduation Celebration Oct. 21-22

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University Supply Store will hold its fall 2008 University of Alabama Graduation Celebration on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21- 22 in the Ferguson Center Heritage Ballroom from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. each day. The Graduation Celebration is designed to be a one-stop shopping and preparation venue for students who plan to graduate in December 2008. The event is also sponsored by Balfour, manufacturer of the University’s official class ring.

Graduating students may visit with a number of vendors and UA departments during the Graduation Celebration and place orders for class rings, graduation announcements, regalia (caps, gowns, hoods for master’s and doctoral students, and tassels) and diploma frames. A representative from Stacy Jones Photography will be on hand to take cap and gown graduation portraits and will offer various packages for purchase.

To further consolidate the graduation process, representatives from various campus offices will be on hand to provide assistance to the future graduates. Representatives from student financial services, loans receivable and collections, and student receivables are all expected to be present for the two-day event. Representatives from the Corolla, the Career Center and alumni services will also be available at the celebration.

Refreshments, including lunch during the noon hour, will be served and a number of door prizes will be awarded. No purchase is necessary to register for the prizes which include a cap and gown, a graduation announcement package, a diploma frame and many other items.

Representatives from Balfour will also be on hand in the SUPe Store-Ferguson Center lobby on Thursday and Friday, October 23-24 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to allow students to order class rings.
