UA trains rural physicians – Students can rent bicycles on campus
The University of Alabama will host a High School German Day Wednesday, Feb. 20 in the Ferguson Center with some 400 students from eight Alabama high schools expected to be on campus for the event.
The University of Alabama will join public universities throughout the state in demonstrating support for higher education at two events planned for March 5 in Montgomery, just preceding annual Higher Education Day activities on March 6.
Bart Siniard, a junior from Huntsville and member of Kappa Alpha Order, has been elected president of The University of Alabama Interfraternity Council.

Tom Patterson, founder and chairman of DAXKO, will speak with students at The University of Alabama Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Joe McInnes, director of the Alabama Department of Transportation and an alumnus of The University of Alabama College of Arts and Sciences, will present a Helen Crow Mills and John Carroll Mills Lecture Feb. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Morgan Hall on the UA campus.
An awards ceremony and reception will be held in the lobby of the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library on Monday, Feb.11 from 4-5 p.m. to recognize the 25th anniversary of the establishment of a Gay and Lesbian student group on The University of Alabama campus.
