TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The deadline to register for the Lean Accounting Conference, hosted by the Alabama Productivity Center/Alabama Technology Network at The University of Alabama, is June 22.
The conference sessions will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 17-19 at UA in the Alabama Institute for Manufacturing Excellence (AIME) Building.
Nick Katko, manufacturing chief financial officer and controller for the consulting group BMA Inc., will lead the conference. BMA Inc. is one of the premiere consulting groups in North America that specializes in lean accounting. Conference attendees who register prior to the deadline will receive a copy of “Practical Lean Accounting,” by Brian Maskell, president and founder of BMA Inc.
Attendees will be taught the seven principle tools of lean accounting, as well as a series of methods that provide a lean accounting control and measurement system, in a fast-paced workshop format. Registration is $1,595 per person or $1,495 per person for organizations with more than one representative attending.

The Lean Accounting Conference in Tuscaloosa is hosted by the Alabama Productivity Center, an Alabama Technology Network center and a nonprofit outreach component of The University of Alabama.
