TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers will hold its annual meeting Wednesday, April 18 at the Child Research and Development Center located on The University of Alabama campus.
ANFRC, based in UA’s College of Human Environmental Sciences, is an organization of non-profit agencies or programs that provide a wide array of services designed to protect children and to strengthen and support families in Alabama. ANFRC supports these organizations by providing technical assistance, training, advocacy, resources and networking opportunities.
More than 50 representatives of non-profit agencies and programs around the state will attend the day-long conference that will include a presentation from the Governor’s Task Force to Strengthen Alabama’s Families.
Also, attendees will receive advocacy training from VOICES, the only entity in the country devoted to enhancing the effectiveness of state and local child advocacy organizations.
