TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Wheelchair Basketball program will hold picture day Friday, Aug. 25 from 3-5 p.m. at Coleman Coliseum.
The UA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team will be available for individual and team photos as well as interviews from 3-4 p.m. and the UA Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team will be available for photos and interviews from 4-5 p.m.
The Crimson Tide women compete in the women’s division of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and finished in the top five national rankings the last two years. The Alabama women will play in more than 30 games this season against women’s wheelchair basketball teams from across the country including the University of Arizona and the University of Illinois.
The Crimson Tide men’s team will start their first ever year of competition this fall in the college division of the NWBA. The men will be one of only 10 university men’s teams in the United States. The team will compete in the intercollegiate division of the NWBA against the University of Arizona, University of Missouri, Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, University of Illinois, University of Texas Arlington, University of Wisconsin Whitewater, Southwest Minnesota State and Edinboro University.
