TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The newly-built Student Health Center at The University of Alabama will host a grand opening celebration Thursday, April 20 from 3 to 5 p.m.
The event will include free food and an opportunity to meet some of the University’s local celebrities like Big Al. Faculty, staff and students are invited to get acquainted with the services offered by the clinic and the health center, located next to University Medical Center and the Student Recreation Center on Fifth Avenue.
The 7,203-square-foot facility provides state-of-the-art health care, emphasizing wellness and healthy habits for students. It features 17 examination rooms, various treatment rooms, a health education area, a larger pharmacy and a more student friendly environment to provide students with the highest quality of care. The facility is connected to University Medical Center, providing comprehensive health care services in one location.
