TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Beginning two hours before kickoff of select home football games, The University of Alabama will offer Game Day University where UA faculty members will give interesting presentations to alumni and fans at the Bryant Conference Center.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, before the UA vs. Florida football game, Debra Morrison, director of the coordinated program in human dietetics in the UA College of Human Environmental Sciences, will present “Obesity DEFENSE-Punt the Pounds!” In this interactive session, Morrison will present healthy and effective eating habits for lifelong weight management and risk reduction for diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
The lecture is offered at no cost, reservations are not needed, and refreshments will be served.
Game Day University is sponsored by the Bryant Conference Center and the UA Colleges of Continuing Studies, Arts and Sciences, Commerce and Business Administration and Human Environmental Sciences.
