The University of Alabama Police Department will be relocated to New Hall in October, Dr. Lynda Gilbert, UA vice president for financial affairs, has announced.

UA Evolution Lectureship Series Begins with Darwin Scholar Michael Ruse

A nationally recognized expert on Darwinism will kick-off a two-year series of public lectures on evolution to be held at The University of Alabama Oct. 11. Dr. Michael Ruse will speak on “The Evolution-Creation Struggle” at 7:30 p.m. in the Biology Building auditorium, room 127, on the UA campus.

A blind, 86-year-old New Orleans-area evacuee, with an extensive infection covering her entire lower leg, was in need of prompt medical treatment, but her primary request centered on obtaining a drag off a cigarette.
