
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Supply Store and the Fresh Food Company in the UA Ferguson Center will host Leslie Bailey, author of the new cookbook “Hey, Leslie! What’s Cooking?” as part of the Chef of the Day program on campus Monday, May 2.
Bailey will sign books and demonstrate cooking in the Fresh Food Company on Monday from 1-3 p.m. The Fresh Food Company will feature her salads and desserts throughout its dining area.
Bailey is host of WSFA Channel 12’s show in Montgomery “Hey, Leslie! What’s Cooking?” and owner of Silver Spoon Caterers and A La Carte Café. In addition to being a successful restaurateur, she has also been a morning radio personality for Cool 104.3. She is active in local theater and musical productions, directing and performing in her own cabarets. Bailey has also been a recipient of the Arts in Education award and a nominee for Citizen of the Year in her hometown of Montgomery.
