Healing the Wounded Heart Exhibit at UA Through April 29

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Women’s Resource Center along with the Ferguson Center will present the “Healing the Wounded Heart Exhibit” through April 29 in the Ferguson Center Art Gallery.

The exhibit offers visual testimony to the impact of violence in today’s world. Through this program, survivors along with those who work with them are invited to use wooden hearts as vehicles of expression and healing. These decorated hearts create a moving exhibit which invites everyone to bear witness and to honor the healing power of the human heart.

The UA Women’s Resource Center fosters equal participation of women in the University community through programs and services that promote healthy lifestyles, personal development, leadership and social justice activism.
