TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama School of Social Work will hold its third annual Fall Social Work Conference Aug. 26 and 27 at the Paul W. Bryant Conference Center on the UA campus.

The two-day conference, “Putting Families First: Best Practice with All Families,” will have speakers and presentations on programs and practices for all aspects of family life.

“This conference is part of our school’s initiative to provide continuing education as a service to the social work practice community,” said Dr. Ike Adams, dean of the UA School of Social Work.

He is currently president of Karl Dennis and Associates of Chicago.

Thursday’s luncheon speaker will be Page B. Walley, Ph.D., commissioner for the Alabama Department of Human Resources, former Commissioner of the Alabama Department of Children’s Affairs and the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
