UA Student Receives First African-American Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship

Christina L. Daniel (second from right), a University of Alabama student from Aliceville, was named the first recipient of the UA African-American Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship. Daniel was recognized at an event on campus Saturday, June 26. A graduate of Livingston High School, Daniel is an economics major at UA, and she plans to pursue a career in law. Along with family and friends, Daniel was joined at the recognition event by (L-R) U.S. Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.), Andre Taylor, president of the UA National Alumni Association, and UA President Robert E. Witt.
