UA African-American Alumni Society to Award Prestigious Scholarship to UA Student

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Christina L. Daniel of Aliceville has been selected to receive the first University of Alabama African-American Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship.

Daniel will be recognized in an event attended by U.S. Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.) on Saturday, June 26, at 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall on campus.

Daniel graduated from Livingston High School as salutatorian in 2002. During that time, she also received the Presidential Freedom Scholarship for community service. She is currently an economics major at UA and wants to pursue a career in law. She is an active member of the Pre-Law Students Association and is employed by the UA School of Law Clinical Program.
