After-School Tutoring Program Students to Display Art at UA Law School Wednesday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Public Interest Institute of The University of Alabama School of Law has included art tutoring by law students as part of its after-school tutoring program. About 75 children at five Tuscaloosa Housing Developments have benefited from the program, which is in addition to the regular tutoring program.

On Wednesday, April 7, from 5-7 p.m., the art work of these children will be on display at the UA Law School.

The UA School of Law Public Interest Institute is directed by Frank Bainbridge Professor of Law Pamela Bucy. The Institute promotes public service programs and volunteer opportunities in Tuscaloosa and other Alabama communities.

“The Law School’s Public Interest Institute is dedicated to the idea that the privilege of being an attorney includes service to one’s community,” Professor Bucy explained.
