UA Circle K to Participate in Alabama Day of Service

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The 2004 Alabama Day of Service, an annual service day enacted by the district Circle K club headquarters, has been set for Saturday, Feb. 7.

Circle K clubs around the state will participate in service projects that support their service initiative which focuses on children age 6-13. The University of Alabama Circle K Club will be decorating 18 doors for Valentine’s Day in the children’s area at DCH Regional Medical Center beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.

UA Circle K is in its 46th year at the Capstone. They are also responsible for the luminaries on the quad each fall before finals week. The goal of Circle K clubs is to emphasize the advantages of the democratic way of life; to provide the opportunity for leadership development in service; and to promote good fellowship and high scholarship.
