TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 2003 University of Alabama homecoming court was selected in a general student election on Oct. 7-8.
The homecoming queen will be announced Friday, Oct. 10, at the UA pep rally beginning at 7 p.m. on the UA Quad. The queen will be crowned during halftime of the homecoming football game between Alabama and Southern Mississippi on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
UA students voted on the queen and her court from a selection of 17 candidates. Some 3,393 students voted in the election.
The following students were chosen to be members of the homecoming court:
- Elizabeth Dees, a senior from Daphne majoring in English in the Blount Undergraduate Initiative Program
- Angela Johnson, a senior from Birmingham (zip code 35242) majoring in marketing
- LaShondra Jones, a senior from Birmingham (zip code 35207) majoring in international finance
- Amy Ridgeway, a senior from Huxford majoring in elementary education, and
- Maury Wilkinson, a senior from Clinton, Miss., majoring in nursing.
