Panel to Discuss Business Ethics at UA March 24

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A panel discussion on business ethics, scheduled for March 24 at The University of Alabama, will include the current SEC investigation of HealthSouth Corp.

The event, sponsored by UA’s joint JD/MBA program, will begin at 11:30 a.m. in room 344 of the UA School of Law.

Panelists include Dr. LaRue Hosmer, holder of UA’s Durr-Fillauer Chair of Business Ethics; Patricia Mandt, former vice-president and general counsel of Harbert Corp.; Robert Mundhem, counsel at Sherman & Sterling in New York; and Andy Turner, UA doctoral student in management whose dissertation topic deals with corporate governance. UA Law Professor Steven Hobbs will serve as panel moderator.

The JD/MBA is a joint program of the UA School of Law and the Manderson Graduate School of Business in the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.
