UA’s Mint Center Receives $6 Million National Science Foundation Award

The University of Alabama Center for Materials for Information Technology, commonly known as MINT, has received a major award from the National Science Foundation. The $6 million award will be distributed during the next six years and is to fund a Materials Research Science and Engineering Center.

UA Appoints Dr. Ken Ozzello Director of Million Dollar Band

University of Alabama music professor Dr. Ken Ozzello, has been appointed director of the UA Million Dollar Band. Ozzello will succeed Kathryn Scott, who will step down from that position Jan. 8, 2003 after 19 years as director and 8 years as assistant director.
