Media Advisory — Mason to Address UA Faculty and Staff Sept. 18

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama interim President J. Barry Mason will address UA faculty and staff at the annual fall faculty/staff meeting Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. The meeting will be in Morgan Auditorium on the UA campus.

Mason will be available for brief media interviews at 10:45 a.m. just before the meeting begins. Annual enrollment figures will be available at this time.

In addition to Mason’s speech, the 2002-2003 winners of the prestigious Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award given by UA’s National Alumni Association will be announced at the meeting. The recipients of the Sam S. May Award will also be recognized.

Following the meeting, faculty and staff will be treated to box lunches on the Quad as a token of appreciation for their service to the University.
