Psychology Student Research Conference to be Held at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Some 30 psychology students from around the Southeast will give presentations at The University of Alabama during the 17th annual Southeastern Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference on March 15.

The conference begins at 9 a.m. in the Ferguson Center. Research topics ranging from memories of Sept. 11 to loneliness in college freshmen will be presented. Sessions will be ongoing in the Center’s Heritage Room and in rooms 301 and 309.

UA’s psychology department, the College of Arts and Sciences and Psi Chi, the psychology honor society, are sponsoring the event. Dr. Beverly Roskos-Ewoldsen, associate professor of psychology, is the conference coordinator. Dr. Jennings Bryant, professor and Reagan Chair of Broadcasting in the College of Communication and Information Sciences, will be the keynote speaker.
