UA Career Center to Hold Etiquette Seminar and Job Expo

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Career Center will host the second annual Dining and Etiquette Seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 7-9 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom. This event will allow students to enjoy a five-course meal while meeting with recruiters. A fashion show of interview business attire “do’s” and “don’ts” will also be a part of the event.

Students and alumni looking for employment (part time and full time), internships and summer jobs are invited to attend the Career Expo on Wed., Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Bryant Conference Center. The Career Expo is an excellent opportunity for all students and graduates to network and meet with employers from across the nation. Because this is often the first contact with a potential employer, the Career Center encourages students and alumni to dress professionally and bring resumes.

Faculty and staff are also invited to stop by and meet with employers. Employers are always seeking new ways to recruit students. Employers are interested in the way academic programs function at UA and how they might serve as a resource for career information.

For a list of participating organizations, contact the UA Career Center at 205/348-5848, or visit the Career Center in 330 Ferguson Center.
