TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama National Alumni Association’s 2002 Tour Program will give alumni the chance to experience the beauty and grandeur of Alaska this summer on an eight-day cruise or a 13-day cruise tour.
The eight-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise from June 22-29 begins in Fairbanks. Once the Ocean Princess embarks on the cruise, alumni will see College Fjord, the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay — a seasonable home to both humpback and killer whales. Ports of call include Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.
The cruise will take place aboard the spacious Ocean Princess. Staterooms with private balconies are available.
The 13-day cruise tour gives alumni time to explore Alaska by land in addition to the cruise. The tour includes two nights at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge, a two-night stay at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge near Denali National Park and one night in Anchorage. During their stay on land, alumni may participate in a variety of optional tours and activities.
The package also offers a post-cruise extension in Vancouver, British Columbia, from June 29 to July 1.
Alumni who book their cruise before Feb. 14 can save up to $1,000 per couple.
