TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Graduate School will conduct a Graduate School Preview Day Thursday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. in the Ferguson Student Center Theatre on the UA campus.
The workshop will provide information to prospective graduate students, including non-traditional graduate students, who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at UA. Students must pre-register for the workshop.
The Kaplan Education Center Inc. will be at the workshop to provide students with the opportunity to take a free practice test for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT. (Kaplan offers graduate admissions test preparation classes through the UA Center for Teaching and Learning.)
Students interested in attending the Graduate School Preview Day and taking the free Kaplan practice test for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT, should call the Graduate School at 205/348-5922, or the Kaplan Education Center at 1-800-KAP-TEST (1-800-527-8378) to make reservations.
The workshop will include a session on the application process from 3-4 p.m.; breakout sessions to meet with deans and representatives from various UA colleges from 4:15-5:00 p.m.; a test-taking seminar, preparing for the GRE, GMAT, MAT and other tests, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.; and the free Kaplan practice test from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Students unable to attend the Graduate School Preview Day may attend the Graduate School Seminar held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, or Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 2-3 p.m. in room 122 Graves Hall. More information is available at 348-5922.
