TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Charlotte Harris, associate vice president for human resources at The University of Alabama, was among 25 university human resources professionals from across the country invited to participate in a conference sponsored by Nationwide Insurance in San Francisco recently.

Nationwide invited human resources directors from some of the nation’s top colleges and universities to participate in a focus group concerning employee benefits.

“We served as a sounding board for initiatives that Nationwide is considering in the retirement area, and we provided advice on retirement plans,” Harris said. “It was an honor for me to be chosen, and for The University of Alabama to be included as one of the top 25 universities in the nation.”

Among other colleges and universities represented at the conference were Stanford, Duke, Georgetown, Cornell, Wake Forest, Louisiana State University, Auburn and the Universities of Florida, Michigan, Texas and Chicago.
