Mercedes Morales-Alemán

Associate Professor

Dr. Mercedes Morales-Alemán is an associate professor in the department of community medicine and population health and the Institute for Rural Health Research. Her research focuses on sexual health and health care access among ethnic minority women in the South. 

Morales-Alemán’s studies have been funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Science and Health Resources and Services Administration. 

Morales-Alemán serves as the chair of the College of Community Health Sciences’ Committee for Academic Diversity and Inclusion.
