Dr. Firat Soylu is an assistant professor of educational psychology and neuroscience in UA’s College of Education, where he also serves as the director of the Embodied Learning Design and Educational Neuroscience (ELDEN) Lab. Dr. Soylu is an interdisciplinary learning scientist who uses perspectives and methods from learning sciences, cognitive science, and neuroscience to explore mechanisms of learning and cognition, and to design learning environments in STEM domains. He can speak on the topics of educational neuroscience, numerical cognition, mathematics education and science education.
