Evie A. Malaia

Throughout her career, Dr. Evie A. Malaia has investigated co-evolution of cognitive and linguistic processing, both in atypically developing populations (those on autism spectrum, Deaf signers, etc), and in Artificial Intelligence applications. Her research, funded by the NSF and European Commission, uses complex systems analysis and machine learning to model the co-development between cognition and language in complex environments.
