Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies

Dr. Bharat Balasubramanian is the Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies, where he is an expert automotive systems, vehicle technology and automotive job training.. Before joining the UA College of Engineering, Balasubramanian was vice president of group research and advanced engineering technologies at Mercedes-Benz in Germany, responsible for product innovation and process technologies. He is working to strengthen ties between UA and the automotive industry while aligning some coursework to meet automotive industry needs. Dr. Balasubramanian teaches an engineering course at UA  in German.
