Dr. Eric S. Williams, associate professor of healthcare management at the Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama, has been elected to the leadership team of the Health Care Management Division of the Academy of Management.
The University of Alabama has received a gift of more than $1 million from Tuscaloosa resident Darrell Westfaul through a charitable remainder unitrust funded with his 1950 Ferrari. The prized car, with the serial number 0046M and a Zagato body, was sold to a collector who plans to open a museum. The remainder funds in the trust will eventually create the Darrell Oliver Westfaul Endowed Scholarship.
Shanna Hocking has been named director of leadership gifts at The University of Alabama. In this role, she will work with major gift donors, focusing on fund-raising efforts for the “Our Students. Our Future.” campaign. Hocking moves to her new position from UA’s School of Social Work where she served as director of advancement.
