For a fruit fly, what its grandparents ate may affect how much it weighs. But the passing down of a body type based on diet is not a simple cause and effect, a University of Alabama researcher has found.

Jed, a 24-year-old senior majoring in business marketing, is the first male cheerleader in his family and first student to attend UA – his dad went to Auburn. But, he’s not the last. Following in his footsteps, Jed’s brothers, Zachary and Elijah Vaughn, became UA cheerleaders as well.
