Dr. Thomas Fox, a professor in the department of modern languages and classics at The University of Alabama, recently received the Culture and Education Award from the AlabamaGermany Partnership.
Dr. Robert W. Ingram, Ross-Culverhouse Endowed Chair of Accountancy and senior associate dean of The Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama, has been selected to receive the 2006 Cornelius E. Tierney/Ernst & Young Research award presented by the Association of Government Accountants.
Dr. Leonard V. Zumpano, director of the Alabama Real Estate Research and Education Center, has been named editor of the recently revived Journal of Housing Research, now being published under the aegis of the prestigious American Real Estate Society.
The faculty and staff of The University of Alabama have made a major commitment to the University’s future by pledging $5 million in support of University initiatives. Included in the total is a $300,000 gift from UA President Robert E. Witt.
